How did Mom tell Dad she was expecting?  I was so excited that I called him at work as soon as I found out!

What were your first thoughts after seeing your baby? (both mom and dad)  Mom: “So that’s what you look like!” I had been wondering for so long what features she would have- it was amazon to finally see her sweet face! Dad: “Welcome to the family!”

What is the favorite part of your baby? (i.e long eyelashes, tiny toes)  Her bright eyes and expressive eyebrows. 

How have your first days at home with baby been?  Chaotic, but in the best way possible.

What has been the funniest thing to happen to you since you brought the baby home?  When the baby lost her umbilical stump, we explained to our oldest that we had to be gentle with her belly button, since it wasn’t fully healed yet. While showing off her baby sister’s new belly button to family, our oldest yelled “But DON’T touch it! It’s still healing!” Many laughs were had, and we were very proud of our caring big sister!

If your baby has siblings, how did they respond in meeting the baby?  Our oldest daughter cares very deeply for her baby sister! The first time she heard her cry, our empathetic little girl was worried about her and cried, too. These days, though, it’s mostly hugs and kisses!

Tell us a little about your family…  We are so happy to now be a family of four, and to start this new journey with our two special girls!
