Q: When should I book my newborn session?

A: Whenever you are ready. Beginning the booking process early in your pregnancy ensures we answer all your questions and are thoroughly prepared when baby arrives. My schedule allows for a set number of newborn sessions per month, so it is important to get your due date on the calendar. We then finalize the session date/time as soon as baby arrives, to take place before baby reaches two weeks of age. Newborn sessions are best in the first two weeks of life to ensure babies are sleepy and we can capture all the curly poses I love!

Q: What is my baby has already arrived?

A: I try to leave some flexibility in my schedule, as babies arrive on their own time. So, please feel free to contact me if you have already delivered or are at the end of your pregnancy, and I will do my best to set up a session for you!

Q: What if my baby arrives early or needs to spend time in NICU?

A: By submitting your session investment, you have secured a session for your precious little one, regardless of if he/she arrives early, late, or on time. If baby is admitted to NICU, we simply wait until discharge and schedule the session at that time. I have photographed several preemies and babies with special needs, so I can assure you, your baby will be in good hands!

Q: Where will the session take place?

A: Newborn sessions take place at my downtown Fort Wayne studio, located at 1747 St. Marys Avenue. The studio is a gorgeous space designed specifically to create beautiful newborn images. I provide beverages, snacks, and free Wifi as some sessions may take a little longer than others to create that perfect image for you. I do not offer in-home/lifestyle sessions.

Q: What do we need to bring to the session?

A: Your beautiful baby….that.is.it! Seriously…I want you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the process of your newborn session. I keep the studio stocked with everything will need to create beautiful, timeless images. When you have booked your newborn session with me I will send you a detailed information sheet on how to prepare for your session along with what to expect during the session. I have a variety of props ranging from baskets to buckets to boxes as well as many beautiful headbands, hats, and wraps available at the studio that fit within my style so I kindly ask not to bring your own, unless discussed ahead of time in your client questionnaire.

Q: Do you only photograph babies?

A: While I specialize in newborns, I do offer Simple Sessions for older babies, children, and families that want to continue working with me. I do not photograph seniors, weddings, events, or extended families.

Q: What are your studio hours?

A: Sessions are by appointment, Monday-Friday, 9-2pm. Limited evening sessions are available for outdoor sessions throughout the summer/fall.

Q: I'm just interested in a maternity session only, do you offer those?

A: Unfortunately, no. Maternity & newborn sessions must be booked together.

Q: When should I schedule my maternity session?

A: Usually between 30 - 34 weeks is a good time for a maternity photography session, but pregnancy is photographed best when you feel pretty...which can be anytime throughout the journey!

Q: Do you provide dresses for the maternity session?

A: Yes I have a selection of gowns to choose from that you are welcome to use during your session.
