Baby’s Birth Stats: (First name, Length & Weight only) Hudson, 5/24/20, 6lbs 14oz, 19in

How did you announce your pregnancy? We were kind of boring this time and just shared with our families over dinner.

What were your first thoughts when you saw your baby? 1 – omg he is perfect (with relief that he is okay and was crying because you just never know) 2 – This is the last time I get to go through this newborn experience (we are pretty set that was our last one!) 3 – What do I do with a boy?!?! (We have two girls at home and this is our first boy)

What has been the most challenging part of bringing your baby home? What has been the most rewarding part? Keeping our two older girls from literally being on top of him or constantly picking him up. Watching them love on him is so cute but they are not very gentle. The most rewarding part has just been the feeling of our family now being complete, both of us being excited to have a son since we already had daughters and hearing the girls proudly tell everyone that will listen about their new baby brother.

Did you experience any cravings while pregnant? Not anything too strong – but I did always think that Salami sounded good and I ate ice cream almost every night for dessert (but I do that when i’m not pregnant too 🙂 )

Did you find out the gender of your baby? If so, did you do a special gender reveal? We did find out the gender and were very excited to learn that it was a boy since we already had two girls. We didn’t do a huge gender reveal party, but simply announced it to both of our families when we got the news.

Share a funny or memorable moment from your birth experience: My husband I had done a workout with lunges a day or two before I gave birth so my butt was sore. During delivery, I got a really bad cramp in that side butt area and kicked out my leg really hard as I was pushing to try to relieve the cramp…..almost kicking my doctor in the face!! Don’t worry – I didn’t hit her and we all laughed about it after.

How did you select your baby’s name? Was one of the only ones we agreed on right away……My husband’s initials are HH because his name is Harrison so I think he secretly liked that their initials would be the same. He would have done a Harrison Jr, but I wanted the baby to have his own unique name.
