Fort Wayne Newborn Photographer | Olivia

Fort Wayne Newborn Photographer. Little Miss Olivia is so sweet! We had a great session! Olivia Grace was born on April 7th. She weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces and was 19 and 3/4 inches long. Her momma answered some questions about her for us!

What word best describes Olivia?

Beautiful.

What did you think when you first felt her move?

I was excited.  It made it more real!

What were your first thoughts when you saw Olivia?

She was beautiful.  I was concerned if she would have to go to the NICU from complications with my gestational diabetes.

How did you pick Olivia’s name?

We both liked Olivia and thought it went well with Luke and Emily.

How did your other children react when they met their new sibling?

Luke was excited and wanted to hold her.  Emily stayed clear for awhile.   Finally she came over and kissed her on the head.

If your baby has siblings, how did they respond when they found out they would be getting a new sibling?

They didn’t really get it until my belly started to show.

What is your favorite part of being a parent?

I love their personalities.   They say and do the funniest things!

What songs do you sing to your baby?

You are my sunshine and daddy sings the Notre Dame Fight song.

What has been the most challenging part of bringing your baby home? What has been the most rewarding part?

Olivia was our first full term baby. Being able to have all those moments (nursing, rooming in at the hospital, going home with a baby) were special.

Was there anything you absolutely could not stand while you were pregnant?

The swelling.

Can you tell us a funny or memorable story about your birth experience?

I had an epidural and was more numb everywhere but where I needed to be the most.  I felt everything during delivery.  They aren’t kidding when they call it the ring of fire.

Did you have any cravings while you were pregnant?

I had gestational diabetes with this pregnancy, so I had lots of cravings! My best friend brought me sushi right after Olivia was born and my husband brought me a black tie cake from Olive Garden right after Olivia was born:)

Did you find out the gender of your baby? If so, did you do a special gender reveal?

My coworker filled a pinata with confetti to tell us if we were having a boy or a girl.  Luke and Emily pulled the strings to reveal the gender.  Luke cried as soon as he saw the pink confetti because he wanted a brother.

What was the best reaction you got when you shared that you were expecting?

Everyone was very excited.  Emily told everyone at my niece’s birthday party!
