Fort Wayne Newborn Photographer | Crew

Crew is such a sweet boy and loved by his brothers, and look what mommy says about him –

What did you think when you first felt your baby move?  When you are pregnant, I think you really feel that first “connection” when you start to feel them move. Crew was a mover-and a shaker, and he was strong!

What were your first thoughts when you saw your baby?  I was so happy to meet him! I was also thankful that he seemed healthy – there are so many worries during pregnancy and I was so happy to see a screaming little boy 🙂

What three words best describe your child?  I would say the three words that best describe Crew are: Content – he’s a very content little guy unless he is hungry, which would lead to the second word: eater! He loves to eat, which I’m thankful for since he experienced some jaundice. The third word would be: brother – he had two bigger brothers to welcome him home!

What songs do you sing to your baby?  My favorites to sing are: Hush Little Baby, and Jesus Loves Me. My husband is the singer in our family, his playlist is much more extensive than mine is!

What books do you read to your baby?  Big brother, Cohen is currently in kindergarten and is learning to read. He brings home a book daily, and we love to all sit on the couch together while Cohen reads, so baby Crew has been exposed to many various books already!

Does your baby have any nicknames?   So far, we don’t have any nicknames, but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time!

What has been the most challenging part of bringing your baby home? What has been the most rewarding part?  So far, our time at home hasn’t been as relaxing, because Crew has two older brothers that are busy with school and activities! But, it’s been absolutely awesome to see Cohen and Creed become big brothers and watch them embrace Crew. They love him and I love to see that!

Was there anything you absolutely could not stand while you were pregnant?  Being hungry 🙂

Did you have any cravings while you were pregnant?  Ice! I loved to chew ice – I’m sure it drove everyone crazy!

Did you find out the gender of your baby?  Yes, we decided to find out. And no, we did not have a specific gender reveal – it was our third, and our third boy!

What was the best reaction you got when you shared that you were expecting?  Everyone was surprised, as we thought we were “done” having kids. God had other plans, and we couldn’t be happier!

How did you tell your family that you were expecting?  We told my husband’s parents while out to eat, and waited to tell my family in person on vacation.

How did your other children react when they met their new sibling?  They were both excited to finally meet him. When you’re 4 and 1/2 and 6, 9 months is a REALLY long time!

If your baby has siblings, how did they respond when they found out they would be getting a new sibling?  My oldest, Cohen, told everyone who would listen. Needless to say, we weren’t able to keep it a secret for very long!

Did anything funny/unexpected happened since your baby came home?  I had Crew laying on a pillow, on my lap, in just his diaper. He was positioned just right that when he pooped, it ended up all over the pillow instead of his diaper. The older two boys thought it was simultaneously hilarious and disgusting 🙂

How does your baby sleep at night?  He wakes up to eat, but sleeps well other than that!

What milestones has your baby reached?  Nothing significant yet, but he is already killing it at tummy time!

What is your favorite part of being a parent?  I’m always amazed and have a hard time comprehending that I’ve created another human. I used to think I had a favorite “stage/age” but I’ve realized that I love each stage and there is something unique about each one. It’s wonderful to see their personalities develop and watch them grow.

What is your child’s favorite and/or least favorite food?  Momma’s milk 🙂

What is your child’s favorite thing to do?  Eat!

How did your child get their name?  We wanted to stay with the “C” theme, and had always had it written down as an option. His middle name, Ryan, is also my husbands middle name.
