I hardly ever post when I take my girls out for a shoot! As I’ve been looking back through 2012 images, I thought it would be fun to share a few of my personal favorites and travel through 2012 with our family 🙂 Seeing how much my girls have grown makes me want to cry! They just get big way too fast! But at the same time, I love each new stage and watching these little ladies grow is the joy of my life. Lets start off with my favorite favorite favorite image – taken Jan. 1, 2012:
And here we are at the beginning of March…waiting on studio construction to finish, I just threw up a seamless at home to capture the girls at newly 2 and almost 3 months 🙂NThis was my first day in the new studio…lighting is jacked and I don’t like the image of myself BUT I love that it is a pic with my girls and me…that Audrina’s hugging her Glow and that it captures an exciting time in our lives! Some spring studio shots of the girls, when it was still too cold to get outside! As soon as McKenna could sit in the tub, I wanted to create some artwork for the girl’s bathroom 🙂 These images are displayed and I plan to update them with bath shots every 6 months or so!This is a treasure – my mom captures this shot out in our back yard one evening. The image was subsequently used for Dupont Hospital billboards around town. When Audrina was about the same age, her and I were in the Dupont Birthplace commercial. With McKenna, I was thrilled we could be a part of this campaign (and that they each for their own, unique 5 min of fame ;)) Dupont is such a special place for me – it is where I began my photography career & where my babies were born!Heading into summer time and then my favorite season…Fall! This man is so in love with his little girls. When I saw him become a father, I fell in love all over again. He was truly meant to be the father of girls (He paints a mean manicure)Here we were just playing peek-a-boo in McKenna’s nursery. Her curls were so evident and RED, I had to grab my camera. These images are favorites because I’m so thankful for the time I get to spend at home with my girls and the flexibility owning my own business offers. There are lots of sleepless nights…staying up to work long past every one else’s bed time, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. My holiday helpers! This holiday season was CRAZY…in a good way though 🙂 Watching the wonder in our girl’s eyes…seeing them so enthralled with everything Christmas- I just loved it! We were visited by our elf, Alpha, and loved opening the doors of the Advent calendar. And most recently – McKenna’s first birthday! It’s amazing to me how different our girls are, even at such a young age! I may be partial, but I think they are pretty dang perfect! Best friends…
