Time has been FLYING by lately- Thanksgiving is next week, Christmas will be here before we know it and in just 7 short weeks we will be welcoming the newest addition to our family! I am SO incredibly honored and thankful for how busy my awesome clients have kept me this fall.  I’ve been promising a post providing info on my plan for maternity leave and some changes that Legacy will be undergoing in 2012.  This next year is going to be amazing-I’m sure of that-but being that I am somewhat of a control freak, relinquishing control and being flexible are creating some anxiety for me 🙂

First up: my plan for maternity leave!

I am not going to lie, my family ALWAYS comes first and the days when our babies are teeny tiny pass by WAY too quickly! So, I plan on being home..a lot 🙂 During the first twelve weeks after our baby arrives I will not be taking new clients.  – fine print – first year series babies will still be able to have their scheduled sessions and I will be taking a very limited number of newborns for boutique sessions in my home. (Yep, setting up a home studio for a little while!) I am, and will continue to book 2012 sessions while I am on maternity. My plan is to return to my usual schedule in April.

If you have a photography need that I cannot meet while I am on leave, I would be more than happy to make some recommendations for fellow local photographers who do a phenomenal job! While I don’t want to turn anyone away, I also won’t settle for mediocrity-as a mother or a photographer. If I can’t give you 100%, I will send you to someone who will be able to 🙂

Ok, next topic……drum roll please!!!!

When you come to the boutique studio in 2012, you will not find me in my current location! Construction is underway on the new studio space and is expected to be completed by the end of March 2012.  The lease on the current space ends Dec. 31 – so during my maternity I will be homeless 😉 j/k…I’m still working out the details but I will have a set up for first year series babies.

I am SO excited about all that 2012 will bring! Some other minor changes with details to follow include:
