Baby’s Birth Stats: (First name, Length & Weight only) Sawyer, 11/22/19, 7lbs 5 ounces, 20 inches

What were your first thoughts when you saw your baby? We felt overwhelming joy and relief! I was in a bit of disbelief that this was our son and that he was finally here with us. I was able to have skin-to-skin immediately following birth and I can’t explain that automatic bond I felt with him – so much peace and calm amidst the craziness around us. I will remember that moment forever.

Did you experience any cravings while pregnant? Ice cream galore! And lemon treats. All the sweets, actually.

Share a funny or memorable moment from your birth experience: At 3 days old, we had Sawyer’s first pediatrician appointment. He made it truly memorable by peeing all over the wall/exam table when Josh and I were changing him. This was the first time he had peed all over himself (which has happened many times since then) and Josh and I couldn’t stop laughing. Needless to say, we are still learning how to avoid Sawyer’s aim.
