Look how sweet and cuddly Quinn is!  She loves her big brother too!!  Her mommy says some sweet things about her!!

What did you think when you first felt your baby move?  I couldn’t believe I was feeling her move so early (15ish weeks).

What were your first thoughts when you saw your baby?  She looks just like her brother! 

What three words best describe your child?  Happy, sweet, and sleepy. 

What songs do you sing to your baby?  If I sang to her nobody would sleep, haha!

What books do you read to your baby?  Whatever her big brother wants to read, but “I’ll Love You Forever” is one of my favorites. 

Does your baby have any nicknames? Where did they come from?  Peanut- because she’s so tiny.

What has been the most challenging part of bringing your baby home? What has been the most rewarding part?  The most challenging part has been making sure big brother feels important and included. The most rewarding part has been getting to have our newborn home with us- not in the NICU! 

Was there anything you absolutely could not stand while you were pregnant?  Hot drinks.

Did you have any cravings while you were pregnant?  Shrimp and most pies. 

Did you find out the gender of your baby? If so, did you do a special gender reveal?  Yes! Big brother shot a balloon with his bow, and daddy helped. 

What was the best reaction you got when you shared that you were expecting?  Everybody was excited, but nothing out of the ordinary.

How did you tell your family that you were expecting?  We slipped it into conversation and waited for people to realize it.

How did your other children react when they met their new sibling?  He was excited and wanted to touch her head and hands, but was quickly distracted by all the buttons in the room! 

If your baby has siblings, how did they respond when they found out they would be getting a new sibling?  He was only 2 so I don’t think he completely understood that a baby was going to stay with us forever.

Did anything funny/unexpected happened since your baby came home?  Big brother has figured out how to blame his roots on baby sister, haha!

How does your baby sleep at night?  Very well! About 4 hour stretches.

What milestones has your baby reached?  She will turn her head side to side to follow a toy.

What is your favorite part of being a parent?  Watching them grow and reach new stages, and being the person who can comfort them when they need it.

What is your child’s favorite and/or least favorite food?  Her brother loves his Mac and Cheese and it’s always a winner and she’s a milk drinker.

Can you tell us a funny or memorable story about your birth experience?  When big brother was leaving from meeting baby Quinn for the first time, he somehow found the stolen baby button behind the nurses desk and pushed it.

How did your child get their name?  We just liked her first name, but her middle name is a family name on my side.  Every oldest daughter for many generations has the middle name Marie and is born in January.
