Fort Wayne Newborn Photographer. Mirabelle is just the cutest. Her amazing dark hair and her little, round belly. And what a beautiful family! I loved having them in the studio!
How did your child get their name?
Mirabelle got her name from a conversation my husband and I had when we were dating. He told me he loved my complexion (very fair complexion with lots of freckles) and that it reminded him of a Mirabelle plum (a plum that is only found in France and is pale, smooth-textured flesh colored that becomes flecked by the sun). When we found out we were having a girl, we immediately knew that Mirabelle would be her name. She shares her middle name (June) with her great-grandmother, who just turned 91 this month.
What were your first thoughts when you saw your baby?
I just kept crying. I was speechless with how beautiful she was and how fixated she was with me immediately after being born. I also loved watching my husband’s reaction when he saw her.

What was the best reaction you got when you shared that you were expecting?
Jerrold proposed at Point Oneida, near Glen Arbor, Michigan overlooking Lake Michigan. Everything was a surprise, including hiring a photographer to have a keepsake of this special moment. When we found out we were pregnant, we took my parents on a long weekend to Glen Arbor, Michigan and told them the same spot where Jerrold proposed. It was absolutely priceless. This area has become very special to us. My mom and dad were speechless.

What songs do you sing to your baby?
My husband loves to listen to jazz with her, both at home and in the car.
