What did you think when you first felt your baby move? Excited! It was an amazing feeling.
What were your first thoughts when you saw your baby? That she was beautiful and we loved her so much already.
What three words best describe your child? Sweet, cuddly and beautiful!
What songs do you sing to your baby? You are my Sunshine, ABC’s and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.
What books do you read to your baby? Wonky Donkey, Little Blue Truck, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.
Does your baby have any nicknames? Where did they come from? Toots McGee (self-explanatory) 🙂
What has been the most challenging part of bringing your baby home? What has been the most rewarding part? Most challenging: getting into a new routine, lack of sleep. Most rewarding: watching her grow and discover new things every day.
Was there anything you absolutely could not stand while you were pregnant? Certain smells were very strong like garbage cans and dirty dishes in the sink.
Did you have any cravings while you were pregnant? Jimmy Johns #1
Did you find out the gender of your baby? Nope, she was a surprise.
What was the best reaction you got when you shared that you were expecting? My mom was so excited to find out she was going to be a first time grandma.
How did you tell your family that you were expecting? The grandparents all got a gift of some sort. Everyone else got phone calls.
Did anything funny/unexpected happened since your baby came home? Dad’s reactions to changing poopy diapers are pretty funny!
How does your baby sleep at night? It’s getting better. We can get a 4-5 hour stretch most nights.
What milestones has your baby reached? She’s smiling, interacting, holding her head up and starting to reach.
What is your favorite part of being a parent? The sheer volume of love I feel for this tiny little person.
What is your child’s favorite and/or least favorite food? Strictly a breastfed baby.
What is your child’s favorite thing to do? Be in her swing.
Can you tell us a funny or memorable story about your birth experience? Me sitting on a birthing ball playing Mario Odyssey on Nintendo Switch.
How did your child get their name? I heard it and liked it. It’s pretty and not very common.
