Emersyn is such a little cutie!! She’s so pretty and you have to love that hair!  Her mommy has some things to say about how sweet she is –

What did you think when you first felt your baby move?  Pure excitement – “Wow I really am going to have a baby”.

What were your first thoughts when you saw your baby?  I’ve never felt more blessed, or happy, in my whole life. I don’t know if anything could make me feel that way again. 

What three words best describe your child?  Feisty, loved and beautiful.

What songs do you sing to your baby?  90s hits 🙂

What books do you read to your baby? ” I’ll Love You Forever”.

Does your baby have any nicknames?   Emmy Girl and Miss Grunts a Lot. 

What has been the most challenging part of bringing your baby home? What has been the most rewarding part?  Mastering breastfeeding has been the most challenging. The most rewarding part is knowing she can and will do great things in her life, and that we get to be a part of it. 

Did you have any cravings while you were pregnant?  ANYTHING sweet.

Did you find out the gender of your baby? If so, did you do a special gender reveal?  We had a gender reveal fiesta (Drew is obsessed with Mexican food), and hit a piñata to reveal pink confetti.

How did you tell your family that you were expecting?  We told both our families on Mother’s Day by giving our moms gifts telling them they were going to be grandparents. Two of my favorite videos to re-watch. 

Did anything funny/unexpected happened since your baby came home?  Drew walking in our room our first night home with a box of gloves for diaper changes. He has since been able to ditch the gloves.

How does your baby sleep at night?  The first half of the night is her favorite time to be held and fed. Then she sleeps like an angel the second half of the night. 

What is your favorite part of being a parent?  Holding her and memorizing her face.

What is your child’s favorite thing to do?  Sleep on our chests.
