See what cute things Charlie’s mom has to say about their new baby boy –

How did Mom tell Dad she was expecting?  Dad comes home for lunch most days, so when he came home that day I said “hey, there is a chance I might be pregnant. I passed two at home tests but I still don’t know if I believe it.” Dad said, “oh, neat”. Had the blood test done the next day & when the doctor called, I asked like 3 times if this was for real. Turns out, it 100% was!! 

What were your first thoughts after seeing your baby? (both mom and dad) Mom – Holy Crap! I just grew this baby inside of me!!!

What is the favorite part of your baby? (i.e long eyelashes, tiny toes)  His full head of hair, his long arms & legs, & his ever so curious gaze at us. 

How have your first days at home with baby been?  We made it through the first 24 hours. We can do it!! Now mom has to share his cuddles with visitors, which always makes her miss him & happy to get him back into her arms ASAP. 

What has been the funniest thing to happen to you since you brought the baby home?  We were delayed leaving the hospital because he hadn’t pooped since birth, he finally pooped & we got to go home. He hadn’t pooped again & I was starting to get worried. As any new mom does, I called my mom in tears with concern that something was wrong. Only to find out he pooped shortly after that conversation & as we were changing him, he peed alllll over me for the first time. After having a moment, it was so nice to be relieved with a baby BM & then we couldn’t stop laughing that I got peed on. Who knew babies produce so much pee at one time?!  

If your baby has siblings, how did they respond in meeting the baby?  A big sister dog named Sophie. They haven’t met yet, but Sophie loves kids. Hopefully she isn’t too upset when she learns her baby brother can’t play ball yet 

Tell us a little about your family…  Joe & I will be married 3 years this November after having known each other for almost 8. Ya see, Joe was/is my best friends older brother. So after only knowing him for so many years as Carolyn’s hot brother who was away at IU, I was so giddy when he asked me out one summer for Zestos. We got married in Hawaii on the beach & are anxious to go back to that same beach this coming January as a family of 3.
