Baby’s Birth Stats: (First name, Length & Weight only) Everly, October 20, 8lbs 14.5oz, 21 inches long
How did you announce your pregnancy? With a picture of our dog in a Bro shirt looking at her ultrasound pictures and a bunch of pink balloons
What did you think when you first felt your baby move? I felt relief and thought keep doing that so I know you are okay.
What were your first thoughts when you saw your baby? We are going to love her soooo much!
Does your baby have any nicknames? Where did they come from? Evie, short for Everly. Its actually how she got her name. I want to be able to sign Christmas cards Kim, Adam and Evie, so we had to come up with a name that Evie could be short for.
What has been the most challenging part of bringing your baby home? What has been the most rewarding part? Challenging has been the highs and lows of emotions, 27 hours of labor ending in a C-section, just wanting to sleep and recoup but then there’s this new baby to care for and you want to be super mom from day 1 and physically can not. Rewarding, discovering her personally. Her likes and dislikes and feeling rewarded when you know she’s happy and content.
Did you experience any cravings while pregnant? Her father’s sweet tooth, ice cream, almost everyday. I have no desire for it now.
Did you find out the gender of your baby? Yes we did and we put it in our announcement post.
How did you select your baby’s name? Came me in a dream about 6 months before my wedding, asked my husband what he thought, he said yes. There was no hard decision to make.
What is one piece of advice you would give expecting parents? Go on a date! Often! And communicate, you are the foundation of your child’s life and need to be strong together.
