October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month. Down syndrome is a congenital genetic disorder in which babies are born with an extra copy of chromosome 21. In the United States, approximately 1 in 792 babies, about  5,300 each year, are born with Down syndrome. I wanted to help bring awareness to Down syndrome and gift something to the families of these amazing children. I gained so much from doing these sessions! It was incredible to work with these children and capture what makes them unique.
