How did your other children react when they met their new sibling?

Big brother, Everett, immediately wanted to to hold baby Dane. He has been a gentle big brother and loves caring for Dane.

Can you tell us a funny or memorable story about your birth experience?

I was three days past my due date when Dane was born. I was fully expecting having to be induced, so I was surprised when I went into labor in the middle of the night and needed to leave for the hospital quickly. We took our toddler to the hospital with us to meet my sister who was going watch him. On the car ride there our toddler made the ride very enjoyable and memorable by being the back seat driver and making sure that Daddy was going the right way to the hospital.
